The Chinoiserie Foyer

Amanda Lindroth - House Beautiful

I am in love with the foyer in this Bahamian beach house with a pair of massive blue and white ginger jars, rattan Chinese Chippendale chairs, and the faux palms flanking the doorway. I would love to find a pair of palms like those for my house.

Check out this hallway with plaster palm trees.

  1. I love the faux palms. I remember coming across these faux palms in AD that Miles Redd used in designing this hallway, and I thought they were fabulous. If memory serves me correctly I think I also saw faux palms in a room done by Ralph Lauren. I'm not sure if it was in one of his homes, or another home.

  2. Did they stitch smaller rugs together to make the runner. Something seems off with the stripes

    1. Yes they stitched together Ikea rugs that were super cheap - I love it!

  3. wow. the concept of walking down the hallway to the cushion while looking at the mirror is really wonderful. I am already thinking of how to adopt that. This is beautiful.

  4. Lol, I sent a comment earlier on these on another post. These are Niermann Weeks painted white. Meg Braff had a couple in her shop (she posted on Instagram 9/21/17). It has been a year or so. Google Niermann Weeks wall mounted palm tree. There 8 ft tall wood with metal fronds. I have one but, I’m keeping it...
