Kerry Steele Art Sale & Inspiration Board

Whenever I meet with new clients, they invariably ask me to help them give their home more color, fun, polish, and drama. My favorite interior designer trick is abstract modern art. Check out this new inspiration board of mine above and more below all featuring art by Kerry Steele, as well as pictures of stunning rooms with abstract art to show you its transformative powers. As an added bonus to Chinoiserie Chic readers, Kerry is offering 15% off on her art with code JuneChic15 on Etsy or using the contact form on KerrySteele.com for something not yet listed on Etsy.

In the living room above, I have painted the room a soft lavender. The focal points are this piece by Kerry Steele and the fabulous blue green sofa available at Charlotte & Ivy. I have used a pair of antique Chinese garden stools as a coffee table, Kartell Victoria ghost chairs, a pair of beaded chandeliers by Marjorie Skouras, pink and navy velvet Greek key pillows, and my favorite pink leopard pillow by Dana Gibson.

Kerry has listed several new works of art just in time for this special sale. Here are some of my favorites currently available. Another interior designer tip - for works on canvas, don't feel that they have to be framed. A much more modern look that I use all the time (and more budget friendly) is to hang it unframed.

  1. Beth, thank you for featuring Kerry's art, we both have much similarity in our Abstract expressionism as artists! Her art really sets off the rooms you have designed.

  2. Love this post on abstracts! The LGN photo is of a Jessie Mackay abstract. She is having a sale right now on her website: jessiemackay.com
