Lacquered Furniture

Lacquered pieces date back to the Shang Dynasty in China (1600 B.C.) These high gloss green lacquered items from cb2 are great modern and affordable versions. I love the inventive zest c table above at $99.95. On casters, it slides next to a sofa, chair, or bed, for a drink, dinner, or your laptop. The hyde wall mounted cabinet at $199.00 can be used singly or in multiples in living, dining, media, office, bed, bath, or kitchen. I think these have sleek chic Chinoiserie style.

  1. Lacquer in chartreuse! I always think of it being red or black, but an unexpected modern twist with something brighter: ooh la la!

  3. Kitty-It is a fun modern twist-it would work well in a modern space or a Hollywood Regency look.

  5. I love this color -- it'd look so fabulous against some peacock blue (you know I can't resist some bold blues!).
