Happy Mother's Day. I think on this special day, we should honor the kind and gentle nurturing by all the women who surround us - loving and caring for not only the children they gave birth to but stepchildren, grandchildren, aging parents, sick spouses, family members, friends, and neighbors as well as their fur babies. Mothering comes in many forms. And reach out to those who are grieving today over the mothers or children they have lost. Today is a very complicated day for many.
I found this quote by a favorite author of mine James Joyce so very apt in this crazy messed up world we live in -
“Whatever else is unsure in this stinking dunghill of a world a mother's love is not."
