These quite fabulous seashell nutcrackers are called shellcrackers by Alessandra Branca. The 27-inch-tall shellcracker is handcrafted with sea urchins, sea fans, coral, Swarovski crystals, and various seashells. Some of the finer details include Venetian paper and stick bug wings for the cracker’s eyebrows.
They sell for $3,100 and must be sold out as they are no longer in her online shop. I would love to try making one, but that project will have to wait. I am finished decorating CCC for the holidays and am turning my attention to relaxing and enjoying everything. I will even try to enjoy the dreaded White Elephant gift exchange at one of my parties coming up in a few days. Does anyone actually like those games?
