J.Crew Original 1988 Rollneck Sweater |
I have been a fan of J.Crew for decades. I am super excited that they have brought back a favorite - their iconic cotton rollneck sweater originally introduced in the summer of 1988. This is a great summer sweater. I plan to size up to wear it as a coverup for breezy days at the beach and boating. I would size up if you want an oversized relaxed look - the reviews says they have sized this down a bit.
"First introduced in 1988, the classic style is back in a comfortable-yet-compact cotton that we borrowed from our men's collection (and we love for its long-lasting quality). It comes in a subtly relaxed fit, with ribbed trim at the cuffs and hem and an easy roll at the neckline that earned the sweater its name."
It is available in 5 colors - several are 30% off with code SHOPNOW. I love this ivory and azure.
Also available in men's, kid's and dog's version - great for family pictures. My pups would love the matching version.
I love the model's striped pants in the first picture.
ReplyDeleteI remember when J.Crew had many more what I consider to be classics, a bit like Ralph Lauren, but not as stylish and expensive, and their quality was far superior then, but the quality of clothing everywhere has deteriorated in my opinion. About a year ago I purchased a hat from an online high end clothing manufacturer - Patou. I was extremely disappointed when I removed it from the box. It was flimsy and poorly made. Not at all what it appeared to be in the picture. I returned it. Everything changes. Most of the clothing labels today are no longer made by the original company, but larger corporations who have shareholders so profit is the objective.
