Chic and Cheeky Toilet Paper

CCC

I believe very much that in everything in life, the devil is in the details. In my home, I try to have everything beautiful. I also try to purchase products that are environmentally friendly. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would find toilet paper that is so good looking you can leave it out, eco-friendly, and funny and clever to boot.

I found toilet paper that is sustainable - in a recycled version and in an alternative fiber bamboo version. Regular toilet paper uses virgin pulp which greatly contributes to deforestation. And they donate 50% of their profits to making sure that every person on Earth has access to clean water and a toilet - did you know that over 2 billion people (approximately 40% of the world's population) do not have toilets? They have already donated millions of dollars to organizations working to provide clean water and sanitation around the globe.

It was started as a crowdfunding startup with the founder sitting on a toilet for 50 hours until they had raised $50,000 to start production. The company is called Who Gives A Crap.

And their toilet paper is individually wrapped in darling recyclable paper - no plastic is used at all.

Plastic free, sustainable, helping people and helping the planet.

And delivered free to your door with free carbon neutral shipping in a recyclable box.

My delivery guy laughed all the way to the front door. Here is the box.

Who Gives A Crap

This poem is on one the side of the box -

"Roses are red
This box is gigantic
But it has a nice poem
Isn’t that romantic?”

I ordered the premium bamboo version - the wrappers are all black and white in very chic prints. The striped print in my guest bedroom is pictured at the top of this post. And at the bottom of the box are three rolls wrapped in gold labeled emergency rolls to remind you to reorder.

Emergency Roll

And each roll has a funny quote on it with lots of fun toilet humor.

You can sign up for a subscription choosing the time sequence or place a one time order.

This is the premium bamboo version that I ordered that comes in double roll triple ply paper. This is an extremely soft and luxurious premium toilet paper. It is available in 24 rolls or 48 rolls as a one time purchase or you can sign up for a subscription choosing how often it is shipped. I signed up to have a 48 roll box shipped every four months, for example. Bamboo is a fast growing grass, not a tree, so it is very eco-friendly.

BTW, I read that the average American uses 141 rolls of toilet paper per year.

Premium 100% Bamboo Toilet Paper

It also comes in their eco-friendliest 100% recycled version that is a double roll and two ply. I have not tried it yet, but it too gets amazing reviews. It comes individually wrapped in recyclable paper in fun and colorful prints perfect for lovers of color or children's bathrooms.

For me, this is a no brainer. Premium toilet paper at a great price shipped free to your door that is great looking and great for the planet.

I bet you never thought I would do a post on toilet paper - LOL.

  2. Beth, We have been using "Who Gives a Crap?" for a few years! I love it and always give a role to friends to promote their message. All of our bathrooms have black and white and I am very specific about which patterns go where. Our house is a plastic free as possible and this makes me happy!

    1. Wonderful. I love the black and white patterns - especially the stripe.

    2. The stripe is my favorite, too. I have it piled in a blue and white Chinoiserie fish bowl in our master bath.

  3. I have been using 'Who Gives a Crap' for several years and love it! My neighbors always get a good giggle when the box is delivered to my front door. It came in handy when there was a TP shortage during the pandemic. I also love that a product I use everyday benefits those in need of basics like clean water and toilets. As always Beth, another great tip!

    1. The paper is white, colored TP is a thing of the past except for one company that I am aware of and it is very expensive.
