I am taking a pause today from my One Room Challenge Chinoiserie Series to tell you about the next project in my house I am working on. I have decided to tackle my entryway. The painter is coming next week. I have found a stunning pair of Chinoiserie sconces and some wonderful things for the walls. I am now zeroing in on the stair runner. I have been thinking about a sisal stair runner, but have read that dogs can get their nails caught running down the stairs. Isabella has vetoed the idea. This sisal dragon tail stair runner by Barry Dixon with nail head trim is sensational though isn't it? I am also toying with the idea of a black and white Greek key runner like the bottom photo, but sans cat.
The Sisal is so fun! I have had to forgo the sisal look too because of my dogs. So I say a big YES to the Greek Key! Love it's boldness!ReplyDelete
Love the greek key. Isabella looks as if she has survived the ORC with great style and enthusiasm—just like her mom. Looking forward to the new projectReplyDelete
ps I'm carpeting my stairs in leopard!
I love the Greek key runner. Beautiful!ReplyDelete
OHhh I love them both! Sisal is so hard to clean, I think, so I wonder about that? Gotta think of the animals :)ReplyDelete
Have a great day, Beth.
I love those, especially the sisal, what a fabulous way to end a runner!!!ReplyDelete
Keep up the the great posts,
The Relished Roost
Great pics! Love the greek key runner although Barry Dixon's is too FABULOUS for words!!! Isabella has stolen my heart! Smooches to her!ReplyDelete
What great inspiration for the stairs! Sisal is one of my favorites and I love the nailhead detail! You can't go wrong with the Greek Key! Quite excited to see what you choose!ReplyDelete
Girl...that greek key runner is stunning...love it!ReplyDelete
I vote for a wool version of a sisel that would alow you to do that stunning nailhead detail.ReplyDelete
Even though I think that sisal with nailhead runner is about the most fab runner I have ever seen in nodding to popular opinion re sisal and pets...the greek key would be a stunning AND practical choice!ReplyDelete
