It's a Go!

The New Casa Chinoiserie Chic

Well, last night we finished successfully negotiating the purchase of my new home in Venice. I wanted something one level, very Palm Beach, lots of palm trees, very Old Florida. Below is the picture I posted before of the Palm Beach home of interior designer Robin Weiss that I love. Mine has the same feel to me. I can't wait to start decorating and landscaping.

I am planning on taking out the juniper and putting in Japanese boxwoods on both sides like below (this above is the listing picture of my house). The other side of the driveway has large palm trees as well. The back is all preserves with a sea of massive palm trees. Really dramatic. The house is very dramatic with 12 foot ceilings and great details like crown molding and wainscoting - not Tuscan at all thankfully. Assuming the inspection goes well next week, I am closing on July 8. Moving twice in 9 months. Oh well. Can one have a Bloody Mary at 8 AM under these circumstances? Asking for a friend.
