Surviving Winter with Chinoiserie

Mark D. Sikes

What better way to brighten up a winter day than a beautiful plant in a blue and white Chinese fish bowl? Here is inspiration. Two pointers - unless the container is truly massive like in the Ralph Lauren example, I like it elevated on a stand. It is also important to have the plant a bit high in the container and to top it off with lots of moss.

Love them all. The last image is a favorite I pinned years ago and it is the work of Sig Bergamin. He is a Brazilian interior designer. http://www.sigbergamin.com.br/ I love that tablescape and it reminds me of a new favorite and similar one in Bunny Williams "A House by the Sea." I think I need a beach house with a big table with a palm on it!!

Thank you so much for telling me this. I tried to find it but was unsuccessful. I will check out more of his work,
