Burned by FeedBurner?

I wanted to take time today to let you know that I am all too keenly aware that FeedBurner is no longer sending my posts to many of my subscribers. I have received lots of emails from followers about this problem. I have lost about half of my subscribers due to some massive "glitch" as has every other blogger I know. This just pertains to those of us using FeedBurner which is Blogger/Google's email subscription service. Since FeedBurner has no Customer Service to contact, and hasn't for three years, we have all been researching and floundering around trying to figure out whether to sit tight or to migrate our subscribers to another service.

I frankly have too much on my plate right now personally and professionally to give it my full attention, but I wanted you all to know that I am aware that about half of you are not getting Chinoiserie Chic by email. Perhaps we have all been dumped by FeedBurner without so much as a goodbye post-it.

Sex and the City - Berger's breakup post-it
Any Chinoiserie Chic followers/techies or fellow bloggers that could shed additional light? At any rate, I hope to get to the bottom of this as soon as I can. Thanks for your patience. Most bloggers seem to be jumping ship and migrating to another service like FeedPress. This may be the path of least resistance.

  1. I was wondering where all of my posts subscriptions went, and assumed that it was some problem with my email server. My solution was to subscribe via blogger, which also provides blog feeds via email.

  2. This got my attention and fast! Many readers emailed me to tell me off and on the last few weeks they were not getting my emails anymore, this while there were rumors of Feedburners demise...which scared me so I spent a good part of yesterday biting the bullet and switching to a paid service (SO MUCH BETTER) with Mail Chimp. So far so good....many readers have already emailed me that they promptly got my emails and that things are good once again. I wouldn't' wait too long, the rumors kind of scared me and I know your subscribers, like mine are to me, are precious. I highly recommend Mail Chimp....it was very user friendly and I cannot believe I did the whole migration by myself:) Good luck Beth!

  3. Thank you Beth and Tina for this information. I feel like it has just been a mess and that there is really no explanation as to the situation which affects our readership, our beloved followers so greatly!
