#3 - The Top Ten Chinoiserie Trends for 2014

Today we look at #3 of the Top Ten Chinoiserie Trends for 2014 - Navy and Chinoiserie. If you  missed #1 and #2, here they are -

#1 - Mixing Gold, Silver, and Chinoiserie
#2 - Mixing African and Chinoiserie

On December 31, 2012, I picked Navy as my Chinoiserie Chic Color of the Year 2013. I love the combination of navy and Chinoiserie. Indeed, this past year was the year of the blue room - rooms with navy and its variations Hague blue, indigo, and cobalt were everywhere. Interestingly, Pantone's Color of 2013 - Emerald Green - was rarely seen. I think this deep blue trend will continue strongly this year as well.

Looking for a classic navy blue paint for your walls? You can't go wrong with Benjamin Moore's Hale Navy. And navy grasscloth is gorgeous! Navy also works so well as an accent - pillows, fabric on a chair, the backs of bookcases, painting a vintage piece of furniture, or Greek key trim on curtains. Want more navy inspiration? Check out my Pinterest board here.

Tomorrow I will be announcing my color of the year 2014, so stay tuned to Chinoiserie Chic.
