Domaine de Canton has quickly become the "it" liqueur, and with good reason. It is made in France in the tradition of colonial indochine in which ginger infused elixirs were blended with fine Cognac. Fresh baby ginger is cut by hand, twice infused with Grande Champagne VSOP Cognac, and then blended with vanilla and orange blossoms from Provence. Its flavor is fresh, intense, satiny, and clean. It can be enjoyed straight up, on the rocks, or in a myriad of cocktails. It is wonderful in a margarita or a mojito. Try it over vanilla ice cream for dessert. It makes an amazing seviche. The bottle is strikingly beautiful, with its black stripes and pagoda styling. The picture above is in my living room where I always keep a bottle on display. The last picture is of a very swank Show House Gala in Beverly Hills named "Chinoiserie au Jardin" hosted by Mary McDonald and Nathan Turner where guests drank Domaine de Canton cocktails with lime, fresh mint, and a fresh gardenia garnish. The bottom line is that the taste is sublime, the bottle is stunning, and it costs about $30. Go treat yourself-cheers!
