Setting the Fourth of July Table

Carolyn Roehm

Isn't this the prettiest inspiration for setting the Fourth of July table? Red and white parrot tulips, fresh strawberries, blue and white spatterware, and blue and white flatware. Linens are a red and white tablecloth and blue and white napkins. Colored glassware like these blue ones have become very popular.

I am hosting a Fourth of July Wine and Food Tasting on Friday at my clubhouse. We will be having American Pinot Noirs (I especially love those from the Willamette Valley in Oregon) and Classic Southern cuisine. Then many will head to the beach for the fireworks. I will be heading home to protect the pups from all the noise!

These are my table centerpieces I have created with everything from HomeGoods -

  1. I'm not necessarily a huge fan of red, white and blue together. I think sometimes it can look a little kitschy, however that is a lovely Fourth of July table, and after all, it is Independence Day. There will be no fireworks here, I hope. They are outlawed except for professional public displays authorized by local cities. California is on fire alert this time of year.
