Charlotte Moss & Summer Style

Charlotte Moss

This is a favorite photo of mine on so many levels. I think she has it all covered except perhaps for the fishing. "History is made by those who break the rules."

I love the pair of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels - I had a Blenheim named Mandy and a Tricolor named Julia. They are such a lovely breed.

Her gorgeous skirt is made from a fabric from her collection named Caroline. I had a roman shade in my Alexandria house study in that same colorway Currant. I love long skirts with a white tailored shirt with the sleeves rolled.

How fabulous are the car seats slipcovered in another of her fabrics called Fanny, a fabulous faux bois. I wonder if these slipcovers were just for the photo shoot or does she actually use them? Likely just for the photo, but I love this.

Here is her Mercedes with the red leather seats.

Looks like an L.L. Bean tote in the back.

I love her wicker picnic basket. Here are some great options if you are in the market for one.

Does anyone remember her wonderful chinoiserie inspired home fragrance collection? I still have the candle, votives, and diffuser. I wish she would bring these back.

  2. I love reading your blog and usually read it first thing in the morning. Sometimes I forget--which is Ok--because it means I get a special treat later in the day. Always a bright spot in my day.

  3. It's a great picture, and I love that she slip covered her car seats in one of her fabrics. I've seen this done before, and I think it looks smashing. With all the auto customizing that is available out there, I'm surprised that more people do not do this.
