It's a beautiful look with all the windows and natural light, but do you miss not having additional storage that upper cabinets provide? I'm not too crazy about the open shelving trend that's happening now. I can only think of all the dust and cooking grease that would settle there, and I don't especially like to look at clutter. It's just beautiful Beth!Lisa D.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08333815608310503191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2395859504434574133.post-31441990903841969602021-02-08T11:18:15.079-05:002021-02-08T11:18:15.079-05:00This kitchen is also a lesson in the importance of...This kitchen is also a lesson in the importance of countertop thickness. And it ties in so well with the one at the bar area. It is definitely not "the open shelving" that's all the rage now but it adds another layer of sophistication and utility.Deltahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04833327020818185122noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2395859504434574133.post-47632086912677029232021-02-08T10:28:46.078-05:002021-02-08T10:28:46.078-05:00My favorite part of this kitchen is the interior a...My favorite part of this kitchen is the interior architecture of it. Lots of windows, no top kitchen cabinets, tall beamed ceilings. A substantial center island, white marble counters everywhere, white (cream?) cabinetry.

With that kind of a marvelous start everything else is cherry on the cake. The only thing I would change (highly subjective, of course) is a different color combination of the blue and white tile above the range. Maybe something with more white in it, something that's a bit more in sync with the wallpaper, the subtlety of which I love here. Or something with a bit of green to tie in with the plates and seat cushions.

Bottom line: the room is amazing, no question about it. My little tweaks do not take away how much I love it.Deltahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04833327020818185122noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2395859504434574133.post-2388131609920782322021-02-08T08:56:41.545-05:002021-02-08T08:56:41.545-05:00The larger view is even better.
