The Chinoiserie Powder Room

Grace Brackman Design

This is THE powder room for the lover of chinoiserie. The walls are covered in Brunschwig & Fils Xian, a favorite classic chinoiserie pattern. There is a faux bamboo vanity, a faux bamboo pagoda mirror, and even a tiny blue and white Chinese porcelain vase.

    1. If they can be found (usually vintage) they are quite expensive. You can also turn a bamboo chest of drawers or similar piece of furniture into a vanity. (cut out the opening for sink)

In the meantime, you might consider applying decorative bamboo molding to your existing vanity if it lends itself to it. It's an easy project and it could look fabulous.

    4. I've been meaning to try this and you just reminded me to look at my bookmarks. Such a fun project and not too complicated. Even if you got a carpenter to do it it would be fairly simple.. Love how this turned out: https://simpleredesign.blogspot.com/2015/06/dresser-transformationadding-bamboo-trim.html
