HomeGoods Does It Again

Interlude Home Aubrey Cube Side Table

I needed a side table for the living room and started looking online to get ideas. On Chairish, I saw this brass cube side table below and thought how perfect it would be and how no way in hell am I paying $2,500 plus shipping. And couldn't they have spent a few minutes to polish it????

Chairish

So, I woke up Sunday morning with the feeling that I had to go to HomeGoods and was there at 10 am when the doors opened. And what was waiting for me but this Interlude Home Aubrey Brass Cube for $230. It retails for $1,400. And it was in perfect condition and didn't even need polishing.

It will go next to my gorgeous new navy velvet sofa that I hope will be delivered this week. Do you think there is such a thing as HG ESP?

And no, it doesn't have cracks - that's the floor reflected. My pups are using it as a mirror. It is very highly polished as you can see. I seriously love this piece.

I am hoping for the sofa deliveries this week and to get my handyman back in here so I can then schedule the wallpaper hanger, but I have plenty to keep me busy if not. I am trying to get into the laid back Florida vibe. There is always tomorrow.

  1. Your table is very glam! It will be so luxe with your velvet sofa. I hope it arrives this week.
Yes, I definitely believe in HG ESP! It frequently happens to me.
I would love to see your pups looking at themselves in the table. I bet they are adorable. Are they enjoying their new home as much as you are?

  3. Love the brass table and the navy sofa! I definitely believe in shopping ESP. Years ago I was shopping for a new winter coat and found one that had just been delivered and put out in the store. It was perfect, but it was way too expensive for my budget. Three days later I had a dream about the coat. The dream haunted me the rest of the night --- I couldn't get back to sleep --- so I went to the store as soon as they opened. When I reached the coat section, I saw a sales associate marking down the coat! 75% off and it had only been in the store for 3 days! I almost fainted with excitement. My hands were shaking as I paid for the coat!

  7. I am so glad it has worked out so perfectly the way you envisioned it. There is no doubt you have the ESP for HG--a deep psychic connection that makes planets align in your decorating scheme.

  8. I think you are "at one" with your universe! Glad brass is back. I'm sure the pups are grateful for preening/primping station before their photo ops! My late MIL had the same experience with parking places. She never worried about finding one where she wanted it. "It will be there." And, it was!

    1. I am back to being at one with the universe. Sandbagger is a sh** magnet and it rubbed off on me. Now everything is great again. And I love brass too. Remember when all the bloggers were spray painting their brass lighting?

  9. These tremendous markdowns have me wondering what the rate of markup is in the first place. Congrats on scoring that gorgeous brass table!

    1. Thanks - it is a brass cube though. The lamp is a Ralph Lauren HG find.
