Saturday Inspiration - Mint Green & Chinoiserie

de Gournay
I love the combination of mint green and Chinoiserie. Mint green is so fresh and cool on a hot summer day. It is a wonderful backdrop for blue and white and celadon Chinese porcelain. I used the same mint green paint color in my daughter's nursery and in my current kitchen. Here are some lovely examples of mint rooms to inspire you.

  3. I have been thinking about the "headless foodog" lamp since you posted it the first time. No one would publish a vignette with broke crockery, so what is it? In studying the photo today, I realized it isn't a foo dog at all. It is a frog-type creature with a sort of tortoise nose and mouth. The dark spot is the eye, and he is sitting in full profile. There, I feel better now.
