Elizabeth McKay & Chinoiserie in Manhattan

I wanted to share with you the fabulous Chinoiserie filled Manhattan home of Elizabeth McKay Jenkins, founder of Elizabeth McKay, and her family featured in the April 2013 issue of Matchbook Magazine as well as her very chic upper East side boutique. She is also a devoted follower of Chinoiserie Chic. Her husband Teddy says she reads Chinoiserie Chic religiously!

These spaces combine so many of my favorites - Schumacher Chiang Mai Dragon, Schumacher Nanjing, elephants galore, Quadrille, Chinoiserie wallpaper, ghost chairs, faux bamboo, monograms, fretwork, Chinoiserie toile, vintage, and lucite. The mix is Chinoiserie Chic, Palm Beach Chic, preppy, old school, modern, fun, and sophisticated.

Elizabeth loves elephants - she is currently restoring this fantastic Craigslist elephant desk that she read about in my post here for her new office space.

Love her work. Every room is fabulous, and of course I was drawn to the nursery.
