My Latest Chinoiserie Find

I love my latest thrift store purchase-this wonderful Chinese ginger jar. It still had its original price tag of $600 from a very high end local store; I got it for $75. I really like its large size (24") and colors. I am awaiting some great leopard fabric for my dining chairs I got at Mary McDonald's One Kings Lane sale, and my dining room will be done. Stay tuned for the reveal soon.

  1. You have done well! We are doing our 1960's two and a half seater in Scalamandre Le Tigre, and recovering our dining room chairs in les Fetes D'Orient, but I am still having trouble finding a half or 3/4 yard of Scalamandre Shanghai for a couple of couch pillows. Love to hear from anyone who can help.

  8. Utterly, absolutely delicious. Love the scale of your find - reminds me of that pic of Mary Mcdonald - and what an amazing value. You have inspired me to post on ginger jars today, though my weakness has to be for blue and white. PS Love the wallpaper as well xo

  9. What a fabulous find, and a wonderful bargain!

I have visions of your running out to your car, shouting "start the car" (as in the Ikea ad, where the woman thought the cashier had made a mistake).

I can't wait to see this in your dining room!
