Brackets of Chinoiserie

The current April issue of House Beautiful is quite spectacular, in no small part due to another wonderful apartment by Miles Redd (the top three photos) entitled Color Confidence. In contrast, perhaps we could start calling that whole Restoration Hardware/Belgian look Color Paranoia? I especially like the dining room in the top photo with its collection of celadon vases on plaster brackets. Below are other wonderful versions of Chinoiserie collections-Blanc de Chine and blue and white porcelain on brackets.

  1. Inning, the last photo, really need that enormous bowl, can never have enough blue &white, especially oversize pieces. My best source is gone, any ideas.

  2. What a gorgeous post to start my day! I love the brackets and in fact have a small file on them and have been considering them for my future dining room...they are so elegant and make a room really interesting, love how you can showcase a collection them as so beautifully demonstrated here!
