A Pastel Look at the Chinese Chippendale Chair

With spring and Easter upon us, I thought it would be fun to look at how pretty the Chinese Chippendale chair looks in pastel paint or fabric. The first three pictures are from my home.

  7. D.B.-The Chinese Chippendale stools are from Ballard Designs and the Chinese Chippendale chair I found at a second hand store and refinished myself. Thanks!

  9. I just found your blog and I'm in love!!! I have a question for you- I have a set of 6 chinese chippendale chairs -4 side chairs, 2 arm chairs. They look identical to the jonathan adler chairs, but my parents purchased them in the early 70s. I'm not sure of the manufacturer. Anyway, two of the side chairs have become quite loose, especially the rung across the bottom and at the center point in the back of the chair. My dad tried reglueing them once, but it didn't last long. Do you know anything about repairing these chairs? Or can you point me towards someone who does? Thanks!

  10. Pam-I would suggest a good upholsterer in your area.
