Parisian Chinoiserie

If the truth be told, I find so much interior design today terribly dull and plebian. This is not. The New York home of the incomparable Thomas Britt-opulent, dramatic, plush, delightful, sophisticated, whimsical, and confident. A study in French Chinoiserie. Make sure not to miss the double sided Pagoda bookcases, the Ming fu dog, the Chinese porcelain-especially the peacock blue garniture in the dining room, the blue satin upholstery-love the Billy Baldwin slipper chairs, and the gorgeous use of color and mirrors. His sense of scale is perfection. Enough said-enjoy this incredible visual feast.

  1. Goodness! It's absolutely terrific! I would be completely content to live the rest of my life in that home! That doubled sided pagoda bookshelf is outstanding... the tented room with the statue and amazing banded sofa... the dramatic mirrored room with the beautiful blue upholstery and HUGE crystal chandeliers!!! WOW!
