Pink Chinoiserie II

This is another stunning pink Chinoiserie room-a foyer. Here again the use of coral pink walls, but this time with gold, green and black accents. The walls are not wallpapered, but painted. A wonderful trellis pattern was created like a giant French memo board using thin ribbon and brass tacks. This is a brilliant, cheap, and fabulous idea to copy. I love the Tree Console and Gold Leaf Twig Mirror and the decoupaged lamp and planter. Don't you think this has a Tony Duquette feel to it?  This lovely photo is from The Well Appointed House website and most of the items pictured are available through them. They are a wonderful source for high quality Chinoiserie for the home.

  1. I absolutely adore that wall - especially how the pattern changes at the base. Checked out the shop - really great stuff!! And there's an entire SECTION on coral...

  2. I love the wall, dig the table, and swoon over the mirror - but have to admit, I'd prefer matching lamps - just sayin' ;)

  3. SF-I think the wall pattern is very cool and would be easy to replicate. They do have lovely things. You must be holding back on the coral posts-that's why I started Chinoiserie Chic-I had too many Chinoiserie things to post about. ;)

  4. MLHP-I couldn't agree with you more, but I am the queen of symmetry. I overlooked this because I really liked the rest of it, but that does bother me.

  5. While not a fan of pink (yes, it's too girly even for me!) I do love the trellis design and that WONDERFUL table! Wish that it were mine!

  6. Stefan-You inspired me to do an impromptu post on Style Redux on Is Pink by Definition Girly?
